Third company to look at our yard and the first one to test the water. Turned out the well was brackish. They put in paspalum on the bay side and Raleigh out front, and both are still going strong.
Regraded the back yard so it finally drains to the side instead of ponding by the patio, then laid TifTuf. Rooted fast and the water bill is lower than it was with the old St. Augustine.
After the surge our grass just would not come back. They tested the soil, explained the sodium versus salinity thing, put down gypsum and set a leaching schedule. Replaced the dead sections in the fall and it took.
